Milan is a city that needed to take time for visiting. We didn’t have much time to explore Milan since it was a 3-day business trip, but we did go to some great places that you can take nice photos and enjoyed lots of delicious Italian food. (NOT YOUR USUAL ITALIAN CUISINE: STEAMED LUNCH BOX FROM THAT’S VAPORE),Follow my lead and explore Milan with me!

Brera District

Brera is one of the districts that belong to Zone 1 in Milan. Different from the usual big city, Brera is not as busy and noisy, it’s filled with artistic atmosphere. There are many different art galleries and coffee shops that you can spend all day walking and exploring. The most amazing parts of Brera are its traditional atmosphere and European architecture. If you like to see the buildings around the city, you shouldn’t only visit Duomo di Milano. There are always full of tourists around that area, and apart from the big cathedral, the buildings around are not as delicate as the ones in Brera. Brera is the little European town that will make you fall in love with!

Duomo di Milano

If you come to Milan, you definitely can’t miss out the famous Duomo di Milano! The cathedral located in the center of Milan, it’s the cathedral church of Milan. The cathedral took nearly six centuries to complete. And it’s the largest church in Italy. The cathedral was built in many contrasting styles which were popular in different ages. It combines Gothic, Neoclassical, and Neogothic. If you walk around, you will see the beautiful sculptures. They are so delicate that you can imagine how much effort and time they put in to build these sculptures. Duomo di Milano is right at the center of Milan, so I recommend you to go there during the weekdays to avoid getting lost in a tide of people.

Università degli Studi di Milano

We found this spot kind of by accident; it’s very close to the hotel that we stayed. Università degli Studi di Milano is lovely. The walls outside are pink. When you walk inside of the university, you can feel the very exotic atmosphere. Many places inside are covered with grass which is nice to talk a walk. If you have some time to spend inside the university, you can come to visit the library. It’s very classical. You can enjoy your own time with a book here. You can have a green shower, enjoy the artistic atmosphere and take lots of photos in Università degli Studi di Milano. Isn’t it very worthy to visit? If you have a chance to visit here, don’t forget to keep the volume down since it’s a university.

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is one of the must-visit places in Milan. It’s not only a shopping mall for you to explore but also an excellent place to take some nice photos. When we talk about this arcade, we think about the bull of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Tradition claims that turning three times on themselves with the right foot heel on the bull can make your wish come true. There are a lot of people lining up to make wishes here. And if you look it up on Instagram, you will find many cute photos and videos of people turning. Also, don’t forget to try Savini Ice Cream! My favorite flavor is champagne grapes. If you like ice cream, you must try!

The places we introduced today are all well-known. They are the spots that you should put on your list if you haven’t visited Milan. If you been to these places, you will have a lot to share when you talk about Milan with your friends. I hope you like today’s sharing. Next article we are going to introduce an extraordinary coffee shop in Brera. Stay tuned for it!
